Our founder, Cameron Stefanski, has 10+ years of industry experience working with nonprofits and brands across the country.
He realized over that time that nonprofits and smaller businesses/brands lack the ability to have a full-service marketing & development team to take their strategic pipe dreams to the next level continuously.
Cameron set out to create his own brand that will focus on ensuring that nonprofits and forward-thinking brands will have the strategic creative assets they need to meet their audience right where they currently are to help make the biggest impact and invigorate their audiences to help remind them what it feels like to truly feel alive.

A Michigander from birth, born and raised in southeast Michigan in the metro Detroit area, later moving to northern Michigan (Gaylord) and transplanting to Traverse City after many years of living in cities across the country working with creative brands, performing arts & nonprofit orgs, and entertainment companies with a global perspective, Cam is a millennial Gemini, a proud queer entrepreneur, and a fierce advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. He’s the visionary behind 989 Creative Group, where he empowers nonprofits and socially conscious brands to amplify their missions and create meaningful connections through innovative marketing.
With a career rooted in authenticity and impact, Cam believes every brand has a story worth telling—and it’s his mission to help you tell yours in a way that sparks action. Experience: With a strong background in small business, non-profit’s like the Cleveland International Film Festival, Plexus LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce, David has honed his skills in brand strategy, publicist, public relations, graphic design, social media management, strategic planning, external/internal communication, and client relationship management.
Passions: Outside of work, David is an avid hiker, and he loves spending time in nature with his partner Carlos and their dog, Quinn. He’s excited to bring his creative energy and fresh perspective to 989 Creative Group.
